Alone We Can Do So Little
Together We Can Do So Much

Bringing together the local and national sex worker-led networks in
their effort to fight for their human rights as sex workers.

Us In Brief

AVo main purpose is to champion the rights of marginalized women and girls with a focus on Sex Workers as most at-risk populations. AVo achieves this by engaging women, girls and boys and men in addressing structural causes of violence and stigma which increase the risk of HIV infection for women and girls.

AVo integrates innovation to engage and empower girls and young women in their diversity including LBTQ adolescent girls, cisgender adolescent girls and young women, Young Sex Workers and girls who use drugs.

AVo also has the capacity to offer subgrants to organisations across Africa — in countries such as Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe — that work in the same thematic areas as the partnership, strengthening sex worker-led movements across the region.

OUR WORK

Subgranting Across Africa

Amplified Voices has the capacity to offer subgrants to organisations across Africa. Working as part of a partnership, AVo provides subgrants to sex worker-led and women-led organisations that work in the same thematic areas as the partnership — from opposing the criminalisation of sex work and challenging stigma and discrimination, to advocating for universal access to health services and ending violence against sex workers.

Through this subgranting support, AVo is helping to build a stronger, connected regional movement championing the rights of marginalised women, girls and sex workers in countries such as:

Malawi

Zambia

Zimbabwe
